High‑Performance PET & PPS Monofilaments Empower Seamless Spiral Mesh Belts for Upgraded Industrial Drying & Filtration
Recently, the seamless spiral mesh belt series for industrial filtration and conveying adopts high‑performance polyester (PET) and PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) monofilaments to build a seamless open‑mesh structure, delivering innovative conveying and filtration solutions for food drying, non‑woven manufacturing, high‑temperature chemical filtration and other industries.
Manufactured by assembling flat‑band monofilament coils, the spiral mesh belt forms a fully seamless spiral‑loop construction. Adjacent coils are arranged in finger‑to‑finger interlacing and locked by straight connecting rods to create a continuous open mesh surface with no weak seam points across the full belt width. Thanks to this unique seamless structure, uniform air permeability is achieved over the entire belt surface. It addresses common drawbacks of traditional woven conveyor belts such as seam expansion, uneven airflow and product indentation marks, and greatly improves finished‑product quality during material processing.
Two major material options are available as core raw materials. PET polyester monofilaments withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 150 °C, feature FDA and EU EC food‑contact certifications and are BPA‑free. They maintain excellent dimensional stability under continuous tension, and are suitable for general‑condition applications including food drying, non‑woven production and UV printing, with short‑term heat resistance up to 200 °C.
For demanding high‑temperature and chemical‑resistant working conditions, PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) monofilaments are an alternative choice. They allow continuous service at 240 °C with a short‑term heating setting of 290 °C. The material offers outstanding resistance to acids, alkalis and organic solvents. An alkali‑resistant modified PA variant, Model PA90110A2, is also available for high‑temperature industrial dryers and aggressive chemical filtration to meet challenging industrial production requirements.
A wide range of specifications are offered with small, medium and large loop configurations. Monofilament diameter ranges from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm, and air permeability falls within 4,480‑10,000 m³/m². Custom widths from 10 cm to 10 m and unlimited custom circumferences are supported for flexible adaptation to diverse machinery and equipment.
Combining the material strengths of PET and PPS special‑grade industrial monofilaments with structural innovation, seamless spiral mesh belts deliver balanced performance in air permeability, temperature resistance, chemical resistance and food‑safe compliance. Widely used in food processing, non‑woven fabrics, chemical filtration, high‑temperature drying and other fields, they serve as reliable substrate support for downstream equipment to cut costs and boost efficiency.
